What are the requirements for this Proof Point?
Criteria
- The parts must be tested for compostability (industrially or at home)
- The resulting compost should meet the quality criteria outlined in EN 13432 / ASTM D6400 (related to the toxicity of the compost)
- After 6 months no more than 10% of the original dry weight should remain
- Compostable plastics do not qualify for this claim
Information you'll need to share in this Proof Point
- Outline which parts are compostable
- Specify if they are home or industrially compostable
What documents do I need to supply?
Evidence should strongly support the claim and will be made publicly available
- Provide a test report that proves parts pass standard compostability tests
Who can verify this Proof Point?
Verifiers are third parties who can confirm the validity of a given Proof Point
